The Frenchman has been out of action since Saturday's training session, when he twisted his left knee and had to be carried off the field. However, the injury does not seem to be very serious and Trezeguet should be available for the match against Udinese on September 14 at the Stadio Olimpico.
Trezeguet has been a constant in the Juventus line-up the last few seasons and is known for his goalscoring prowess. Juve tied Fiorentina 1-1 on Sunday night after a last-minute equaliser by Alberto Gilardino thwarted the Bianconeri's dominance of possession.
Last season "Trezegol", as he is affectionately known by the media, scored 20 goals for Juventus and is known as one of the best goal-poachers in European football.
This is the second good piece of news for Juventus fans today, as it had already been revealed that defender Giorgio Chiellini was recovering ahead of schedule and could also take part in the match against Udinese.
Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri will no doubt be pleased that two of his stars have recovered so quickly as Juventus continue their assault on the Serie A and begin the Champions League group stage on September 17 against European Super Cup winners Zenit St. Petersburg. |
