Milan Baros to leave Lyon for Galatasaray

Czech striker Milan Baros is to join Galatasaray after the Turkish club and Olympique Lyon agreed the move for an undisclosed fee

The 26-year-old Czech Republic international is set to sign a three-year deal with the club.

Baros joined Lyon from Aston Villa last year but struggled to secure a regular place in the French champions' starting line-up.

He spent the end of last season on loan at eventual FA Cup winners Portsmouth but returned to the Stade Gerland during the summer after failing to earn a permanent deal at Fratton Park.

Baros, who scored seven times in his 30 outings for Lyon, netted for the Czechs in their 2-2 draw with England at Wembley last week.
