The Dutch giants were linked to several strikers before, like Celtic forward Giorgios Samaras, Twente prospect Marko Arnautovic and Borussia Monchengladbach striker Rob Friend, but have been unable to sign one of them thus far.
Steaua Bucharest striker Bogdan Stancu is the latest attacker linked with a move to Feyenoord. The youngster is already being compared to Fiorentina starlet Adrian Mutu in his home country.
However, Steaua is probably keen to hold on to their young striker. They only recently purchased him and his start at the club is very promising. He made four league goals in four matches this season.
The Romanian side paid two million euros for Stancu in May and Feyenoord reportedly already made a five million offer to price him away from his current side.
