Therefore, Perez started arbitration against Ajax to be allowed to participate in the training of the first team. However, the 33-year-old lost his case and decided to leave the Eredivisie side.
According to the official Ajax website, both parties reached an agreement today to end Perez his deal and make him a free agent.
“I can focus on my future now,” stated Perez today. “I wish Ajax all the best and I want to thank everybody for their support in these difficult times.”
Ajax technical director Danny Blind was also relieved with the settlement. “I'm happy that this difficult situation has come to an end now. We just shook hands and I want to wish Kenneth good luck in his further career.”
